Commuter Knitter - WFH Edition - Episode 107 - Not Letting Perfection Get in the Way

Four years, four months and a week ago was the last time I recorded an episode of the podcast.  After all this time, my knitting spark has finally turned back into a (small) flame and I have been inspired to return to the podcast to share!

    It was so nice to hear from you! I am the mom of a 9 year old and life was dampening my knitting spark for the last few years as well and I am just coming back to it as well. Currently working on my 3rd and 4th pair of socks for 2021. Besides the heel I find them perfect conference call knitting. I can even manage on zoom without anyone being the wiser.

My Birthday Wish

I woke up this morning in hopes that yesterday wasn't real.  That it was all a nightmare.  But I could feel my eyes still damp with the tears that wouldn't stop and knew that was not the case. Before yesterday when people would ask me where I lived, and I answered "Newtown, Connecticut", they'd follow up with "Where is that?"  Now everyone knows where Newtown is.  And for all the wrong reasons.  I wish that weren't the reality. I wish that I did not hear the constant buzz of news helicopters overhead. I wish that The Today Show, Good Morning America, and the CBS Early Show weren't broadcasting 4 miles from my house.  Or that if they were it was for something happy. I wish that there weren't 27 new angels in heaven. I wish that these innocent children & educators did not die in vain. I wish that there is real change in this world as a result of yesterday's events. I wish that we come to live in a world where we do not fear...
